We use this persona to share big drums with Ren Fairs or any other events where Japanese Taiko would be more limiting or not appropriate. This also gives us a place to play with some fun ideas and concepts that do not quite fit our Taiko performances.

Historical Note: Yes, we know these are not period Viking drums.  Unlike the instruments that most Viking groups play, these existed during the Viking age, just not in Europe.  While we formed this group to play at events that can involve some periods of history, we would refuse to play any of this at any serious Viking re-enactment event. So, please indulge our indiscretions and have some fun! If you would like to sit and talk period Viking instruments (Lyres, frame drums, flutes and rangles, etc) we would love that as well.
