After a long winter break, and a lot of training, we are back and ready to bring Taiko to the Kansas City community! We were able to attend a great weekend Midwest Intensive workshop with some of the lovely people from kaDON, including Shoji Kameda! It was an exhausting 2 days of instruction on Katsugi and Naname (slant style) skills and we made some amazing connections with other Taiko troops in the Midwest. We have also updated our classes schedule and are also starting to fill up our performance schedule for the year. We now have an indoor space, at least for a little while, so we can focus more on playing music! 2026 is going to be very exciting!
